The Highlander Hybrid lineup starts with the Hybrid LE and goes up from there with the Hybrid XLE, Hybrid Limited, and the top Hybrid Platinum.
Highlander or Highlander Hybrid: Which is right for you?
Standard to all Highlander Hybrid models is the drivetrain of course. Under the hood, you get a 2.5-liter gas engine with 186 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor provides some assistance as well giving you a net horsepower rating of 243.
When it comes to efficiency, the Highlander Hybrid puts up some outstanding numbers. You can get up to 36-city mpg and 35-highway mpg, and that’s with front-wheel drive. The Highlander Hybrid also offers all-wheel drive at all trim levels and for that upgrade, you only make a small sacrifice in city efficiency which is reduced to 35 mpg.
