Now that summer is coming to an end, it’s time to look ahead to the next season and start making plans for fall. Fortunately, there are quite a few events and activities to choose from in the Vacaville, CA area. Here are a few great ones to keep in mind.

Vacaville’s 11th Annual Oktoberfest is taking place on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Town Square. The free event is sponsored by Pure Grain Bakery and features a wide variety of German favorites, including brats, sauerkraut, pretzels, potato salad, and more. Attendees can also enjoy live music during most of the afternoon. Learn more.
Every Saturday and Sunday between October 7 and October 22 (October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22), the Pumpkin Patch Festival will be taking place at the Western Railway Museum. Activities include a pumpkin launcher, hay bale fortress, and special “Pumpkin Patch Trains” from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Admission costs $14 for adults, $12 for Seniors over age 65, and $10 for children ages 2 to 14. Cool Patch Pumpkins, now located in Dixon, CA, features a you-pick pumpkin patch with a variety of pumpkins as well as hay rides, food and beverages, and the World Record Corn Maze. The patch is open every day from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., weather-permitting, starting in September. Attendees pay per activity, which range in price from $2 for a shot out of the Pumpkin Cannon to $15 for the Corn Maze. Learn more.
