This Labor Day weekend 2015, you should grab your family and friends and have some fun. Isn’t that what holiday weekends are for? If you find yourself in the Vacaville, CA area over Labor Day weekend, here are a few events for you to check out.
The 2nd annual Benicia Film Festival takes place September 4-6, 2015 at a different location each day. On Friday, the festival will be held at Commanding Officers’ Quarters from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday at Benicia High School from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday at The Majestic Theatre from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Films include a wide variety of subjects from several different filmmakers, near and far. Tickets can be purchased online or at Benicia Library, Benicia Main Street, or Bookshop Benicia.
On Saturday, September 5, 2015, Rockin’ By the Bay takes place at the Martinez Amphitheater in Downtown Martinez. Events include live music for you to rock out to, arts and crafts vendors, and a variety of food and beverage options. Gates open for the day at 12:00 p.m., and the final performance is expected to end at 9:00 p.m., at which point the event will conclude. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for a raised price.
The Vacaville Farmers Market, as it occurs every Saturday, will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. along the 300 block of Main Street in Downtown Vacaville. Attendees can browse and enjoy a wide array of local produce and craft vendors as well as live entertainment from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
