The 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE model will be released in Fall 2020. The XSE model will be offered for both the gasoline-powered Highlander and the Highlander Hybrid. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
Sporty Design of the 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE
Like the other XSE models in the Toyota lineup (Avalon, Camry, Corolla, and RAV4), the Highlander XSE has a sporty look. Notable exterior design elements include front and side rocker moldings, a sporty grille with a distinctive insert, exclusive 21-inch wheels, a twin-tip exhaust, and blacked-out accents. Inside the Highlander XSE, the cabin has unique two-tone seats, as well as other unique XSE styling elements.
2021 Toyota Highlander XSE Engine Specs
All Highlander XSE models are powered by a sophisticated 3.5-liter V6 engine, which cranks out 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with the smooth and efficient Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission. With its new sport-tuned suspension, the Highlander XSE model is touted by Toyota as having the best handling in the Highlander lineup. The Highlander XSE also comes equipped with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive System, which provides superb traction in adverse weather conditions and when driving off the beaten path.
