The 2021 Toyota Avalon Hybrid offers you three trim levels starting with the XLE and going up from there with the XSE and the top Limited trim. Of course, they all enjoy a hybrid drivetrain with a 2.5-liter gas-powered engine under the hood. This engine alone provides 176 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor gives you 118 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. When you determine net horsepower, it isn’t exactly a simple math problem. As a result, the net horsepower is 215.
