For the most part, the Toyota lineup has a fun, modern look with sleekness and curves being the general rule. One model that bucks this trend hardest is the 2021 Toyota 4Runner. Following a design from decades ago, the 4Runner is built to look big, bulky, and powerful.
The design continues to be popular, and its nine trim levels also help create the variety modern shoppers are looking for. Some trims even allow for up to seven passengers to sit inside, but most fit five. Each trim has its place, but some are more popular than others. The differences are most obvious when compared side-by-side like they are in the chart below. Explore the variety:

The best fit is always going to change based on what you think you are going to do with your 4Runner. If you are planning to use your 4Runner as a primary family car, go for the SR5 if you are trying to save money, the SR5 Premium if you want to get a little more out of it, or the Limited for the best combination of luxury features and seating capacity available.
If you plan to use your 4Runner as an off-road vehicle frequently, try the TRD Off-Road Premium or Venture Special Edition. The TRD Pro will also suit you well, especially if you want to get all the best features inside as well.
If you don’t know yet how you will use your new 4Runner, come to Toyota of Vacaville and test drive the TRD Off-Road Premium or Limited to get a feel for how some mid-level trims behave.
