Just when you thought Toyota couldn’t improve upon the best, the Camry gets completely redesigned and updated for 2018. With new design cues and even better performance and convenience features, the all-new Camry is the most ingenious and exciting Camry to date. Take a look at all the updates below and see what has Toyota engineers so excited!
First Look at the All-New 2018 Toyota Camry
This eighth-generation vehicle has gone through a total evolution. From a dependable and safe sedan to a more exciting and emotional character, the 2018 Camry gets newfound sporty performance and style that takes it to the next level.
- Exterior Redesign – The 2018 Camry continues to use its “Keen Look” design philosophy by featuring a new curvaceous 1.6-inch-lower hood that sits neatly above the grille’s uppermost section and lowering the hip points of the occupants to reduce the car’s overall vehicle height by approximately one inch from the current model and incorporate a lower roofline. This makes the Camry appear sleeker and have a more aerodynamic profile without sacrificing space.
- New Cabin Appointments – The design of the entire cabin strikes a connection between the ease of use of all the internal systems and a modern sculptural look that is pleasing to the eye. The interior design uses a combination of tones and hues throughout a space rather than a strict color profile to give the cabin a more home-like feel, while every surface throughout the cabin employs the highest grade of soft touch and premium materials.
- Human Machine Interface – The new Camry features Toyota’s latest Human Machine Interface (HMI), which relays information through three interlinked displays, which are a 10-inch color Head-Up Display (HUD); a seven-inch multi-information display within the instrument cluster; and an eight-inch audio/navigation display and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) control panel.
- 3 Available Engines – Three new powertrains will be available on the new 2018 Camry, including a new 3.5-liter V6 with D-4S Fuel Injection and an all-new 2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. All engines come paired with a new 8-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission (8AT) or a next-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS II).
