When it comes to infotainment, Toyota has its own brand that is as innovative and connected as it gets. This media system, called Entune Audio, features music and app access plus connectivity to your smartphone, so you’ll never have to be without your media during your drive. One of the ways Entune Audio helps keep your access within reach is by featuring either integrated navigation or connected navigation through the touchscreen display. See the difference below!
What is the Toyota Entune Audio System?
Toyota’s Entune Audio is a series of infotainment systems that allow you to stay connected to your media through the center dash display of your vehicle. The most basic Entune Audio system features a touchscreen display with an AM/FM/CD player, iPod connection with AUX port, Bluetooth streaming, phone book access, advanced voice recognition, and Siri Eyes Free. More advanced systems feature extras like bigger touchscreens, Sirius XM Radio, JBL Audio, HD Radio, navigation, and special Entune Apps.
What’s the Difference Between Connected and Integrated Navigation on Toyota’s Entune System?
If you have Entune Audio Plus, your system will have Scout GPS Link that goes through a smartphone app to give you connected navigation. It does this by syncing with your phone and projecting the app onto your Entune’s touchscreen display. This app will give you turn-by-turn navigation through routes. If you have integrated navigation, your Entune Premium Audio’s navigation is built right into your system meaning you can access it without the use of your smartphone. You can also use the advanced voice recognition software to verbally ask for navigation.
