Toyota makes a positive impact on the American economy, with many of its models built in the U.S. This includes the all-new 2020 Toyota Corolla, which is produced at the Toyota Mississippi plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi.
First 2020 Toyota Corolla Produced at Toyota Mississippi Plant
The first 2020 Toyota Corolla rolled off the assembly line at the Toyota Mississippi plant last month, and this event was commemorated with the vehicle donated to the Town of Blue Springs. According to Rita Gentry, the Town of Blue Springs Mayor, the Corolla will be used to support the day-to-day functions of the Blue Springs Police Department.
“We have an extraordinary team in Mississippi building a remarkable vehicle. I can honestly say we get better every day, and it’s because of our amazing team members. I can’t wait to see what happens next for our plant, our community, and as we like to say, the Toyota Mississippi Family.” – Sean Suggs, Toyota Mississippi Plant President

Toyota has made a major commitment to the Toyota Mississippi Plant. Last year, the automaker announced that it would invest $170 million in the plant to build the 12th-generation Corolla using TNGA — the new way Toyota designs, engineers, and produces its vehicles. More than 2,000 people come together each day at the Toyota Mississippi Plant to build the Toyota Corolla, which is the world’s most popular compact sedan. With an elevated dynamic design, robust build, and confidence-inspiring safety and quality, the 2020 Corolla looks to continue the success of the iconic nameplate.
